David White

After graduation I spent 1 year at Iowa State, moved back to Ridgewood, worked for AT&T in New York City, joined the Army with the Army Security Agency and spent 2 and half years in Germany. After my discharge I went back to school at Syracuse University. Married my first wife, (still friends), started working for Environmental Protection Agency in Rochester, New York, moved to Charlottsville, Virginia, moved again to Springfield, Virginia (Outside of Washington DC) moved finally to Dallas, Texas in 1972. Divorced and later married Janice. Moved several times in the Dallas area, divorced again (also still friends.) Married a third and last time to Doris (she is fantastic). Moved to our current house in Forney, Texas (15 miles SE of Dallas)
After retirement I have been very active in delivering Meals On Wheels. I have had the pleasure of doing this for 20 years. I plan to keep doing this for as long as this old body will let me.

Having not been the biggest, tallest or most coordinated individual at RHS but also wanting to be on a Team, I was a not so stellar member of the Track team. I remember coach Palmisano coming up to me after the finish of an 880 yard run in a meet and say "Where were you when the crowd stopped applauding?" I said "About 220 yard away from the finish line."

I attempted to mow, weed eat, and edge my lawn without a brake for water on a day when it was 101 degrees. Finished it and passed out and fell to the ground twice. (78 years old and just plain stupid.)

Got to see the real October Fest in Munich Germany will in the Army. Now that is one great party.

Older, but still happy. Maybe not as mobile.

I belly laugh at least once a day. Life is fun.

The purpose of life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "...holy cow...what a ride!!!!!"
