Rita Hayworth - Staying Alive

Rita Hayworth, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelley and other talented dancers of yesteryear dancing to the BeeGees, "Staying Alive".

Can you imagine the editing involved in this?  A great job of putting clips to be seamless together with the music.

Every evening a river otter comes to play with a dog named Rio. What was once an acquaintance on the other side of the fence has now become a friend who comes to play through the fence.  It has been interesting to watch as their trust of each other has developed over the past several months.

A Very Interesting Prospective - Read On

A young lady confidently walked around the room, with a raised glass of water, while leading and explaining stress management to an audience.   Everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?' .... She fooled them all .... "How heavy is this glass of water?",
she inquired with a smile.
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter.  It depends on how long I hold it.  If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.  If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.  If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.  In each case it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."

She continued, "And that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on. As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden - holding stress longer gets better each time practiced."

"So, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down.  Do not carry them through the evening and into the night .... pick them up tomorrow.  Whatever burdens you are carrying now, put them down for a moment.  Then relax, and pick them up later after you have rested.  Life is short.  Enjoy it and the now 'suppoded' stress that you have conquered."
1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!
2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker..
5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it..
7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
8 * Never buy a car you can't push.
9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
10 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well.  Just get up and dance.
11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
12 * The second mouse gets the cheese.

13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
14 * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
15 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

16 * Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
17 * We could learn a lot from crayons.  Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull.   Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

18 * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

19 * Have an awesome day and know that someone thought about you today.
20 * It was me, your friend!
*Save the earth -- It's the only planet with chocolate!*

This is really incredible!
It is truly amazing that someone could not only create this, but make it to change when you move your mouse/cursor.  It's real computer technology and, if you like, you can just sit back and let it change by itself.  Either way it is awesome!!!

There are Days When We All Could Use a Hug!!
Car Wash Caper - A True Story!
Bill owns a company that manufactures and installs car wash systems.
Bill's company installed a car wash system in Frederick, MD.
Now, understand that these are complete systems, including
the money changer and money taking machines.
The problem started when the new owner complained to Bill that he was losing significant amounts of money from his
coin machines each week.

He went as far as to accuse Bill's employees of having a key
to the boxes and ripping him off. Bill just couldn't believe
that his people would do that, so they setup a camera to catch
the thief in action. Well, they did catch him on film!
That's a bird sitting on the change slot of the machine.
The bird had to go down into the machine, and back up inside
to get to the money!
That's three quarters he has in his beak! Another amazing thing is that it was not just one bird -- there were several working together.  Once they identified the thieves, they found over $4,000 in quarters on the roof of the car wash and more under a nearby tree.
And you thought you had seen and heard of everything by now!

And to think the phrase 'bird brain' is associated with being dumb.
Not these birds!

Dolphin Rings - This is Awesome

The attached video is of  dolphins playing with silver colored rings which they have the ability to make under water to play with.  It isn't known how they learn this, or if it's an inbred ability.

As if by magic the dolphin does a quick flip of its head and a silver ring appears  in front of its pointed beak. The ring is a solid, donut shaped bubble about 2-ft across, yet it doesn't rise to the surface of the water!   It stands upright in the water like a magic doorway to an unseen dimension.  The dolphin then pulls a small silver donut from the larger one.  Looking at  the twisting ring for one last time a bite is taken from it, causing the small ring to collapse into a thousands of tiny bubbles which head upward towards the water's surface.  After a few moments the dolphin creates another ring to play with.  There also seems to be a separate mechanism for producing small rings, which a dolphin can accomplish by a quick flip of its head.

An explanation of how dolphins make these silver rings is that they are "air-core vortex rings".  Invisible, spinning vortices in the water are generated from the tip of a dolphin's dorsal fin when it is moving rapidly and turning.  When dolphins break the line, the ends are drawn together into a closed ring.  The higher velocity fluid around the core of the vortex is at a lower pressure than the fluid circulating farther away.  Air is injected into the rings via bubbles released from the dolphin's blowhole. The energy of the water vortex is enough to keep the bubbles from rising for a reasonably few seconds of play time.

And this has the Wow factor - Click on the Youtube Video
and Turn Your Sound Way Up!

This fun YouTube video features a 1980's pop classic.  The rock band Toto scored their biggest hit with Africa in 1982.  The song is instantly recognizable.  But it has been reinvented.

Perpetuum Jazzile is an a cappella jazz choir from Slovenia.  It’s hard to think of something further from an ‘80s rock band.  But their version of Africa may best the original.  The group has amazing voices.

But the beginning of this video is really striking.  Group members simulate an African thunderstorm with their hands.  It’s really something to see and hear.
